Project History

I ordered the kit in 2007, it arrived in July 2008.  We built the fuselage in 2011 and resumed building in the summer of 2015.   We took the fuselage completely apart in 2015 and put it back together again so perhaps that counts as a fresh start.

I’m using this blog as a builders log which is required by the FAA in order to certify the plane as amateur built.

We’ve got a link to a google spreadsheet where we will track the hours and we’ll include photos in the entries.

Here’s a photo of the crate arriving in 2008.  I originally used it as a workbench.

Here’s a building photo from 2011.  This was in my stepson’s garage.

I brought the plane back to my house from my stepson’s garage in June 2015.
I’ve got the fuselage sitting in the hull but it is not attached.

Here’s what the plane looks like as of July 17, 2015 after 20 some hours of building this summer.
It’s sitting on the wheels temporarily which is nice.
