We took the fuselage in and out of the hull a couple of times during the last 2 weeks. We need to put some hooks in the ceiling because it is getting heavy!
We decided that we needed to torque some of the bulkhead bolts so that the fuselage frame would flex less. We also tested some different shim ideas.
I spent a fair amount of time reorganizing the parts and I started inventorying our new wing parts. We ordered the new LSA wings. Jim Ratte of Recreational mobility helped figure out a “delta” kit which allowed us to reuse as many existing wing parts as possible.
Ethan put a new piece in the vertical stabilizer. The idea is to counteract some of the cable force.
Organizing pictures. Ethan is considering using the kayak for a hull modification. Engineers who build planes make a lot of changes……
In this picture we’ve got all the new wing parts up on the shelf that I put on the wall.
What are these parts? Wing Rib Truss Outboard or Inboard?
Implementing a good idea from Jim Ratte. If you cut a channel into the bar that holds the top of the seat sling you can change it from a 30 minute seat removal to a 5 minute seat removal!
Used a dremel to shape the heel rest to fit in the hull.
More parts to order from Aircraft Spruce and Searey!
